Fantastic stories of Kanji 
 Fabulosas historias de kanji (version en español abajo)
Summer has come in Japan with its insects bustling around us.
Probably you don't like insects,but after you have studied these Kanji  as follows, I am sure that your feelings will change.
mushi – insects
the original meaning was: an unpleasant living creature, like a snake.
chou-butterflyIt was created combining  + .  (with  on top) means
a leaf ha.
When you see a butterfly that has colorful leaves, you would be fascinated by its beauty.
()kaiko-silkworm
It is created combining + .
Silkworm is a mysterious insect that spew threads out from tiny holes placed in their jaws.
In old times,  was used instead of (ten-heaven).
You can see that   is similar tokanzashi-a long ornamental hairpin.
Have you ever seen any Chinese movie based on olden times? We can see the noble women’s hairstyle, all of them using big   shape hairpins to hold their hair bun. Fantastic! * The meaning of this old kanji can differ from one dictionary to another (to hide, to conceive)





Put these Kanji: , and蚕 in the parentheses. 

絹(kinu-silk)は(     )が作ったまゆ(mayu-cocoon)から作られる。

青(       )から(        )に変わる。

Hint

Silk is made out of the cocoon of the silkworm.

 El verano ha llegado a Japón con sus insectos revoloteando a nuestro alrededor.

Con qué insecto te identificas ? Te gusten o no, una vez que conozcas la historia de sus Kanji seguramente vas a cambiar de opinión.

mushi – insecto

Su significado original es : una desagradable criatura viviente, por ejemplo, una serpiente.

chou-mariposa

Este kanji fue creado combinando + . sólo, significa hoja de árbol (ha).

Cuando ves una mariposa con alas (visualmente : « hojas »)  en colores, quedarías fascinado con su belleza.

()kaiko-gusano de seda

Este kanij es la combinación de+.

El gusano de seda es un insecto misterioso, cuando la oruga se convierte en mariposa segrega un líquido ácido para dejar el capullo.

Antigüamente,  era utilizado en lugar de(ten- cielo). El significado de este kanji   
varía dependiendo del contexto (esconder, concebir). Como puedes ver,   es muy parecido a kanzashi- gancho, horquilla para sujetar el cabello
Alguna vez has visto una película china de época ? donde se ven las todas las damas nobles usando el mismo peinado. Verás que todas llevan moños sujetados con un gran gancho en forma de. Curioso no ?

*El significado de este antigüo kanji      (san)  puede variar de un diccionario al otro (esconder, concebir)
